The brand new self-titled album from Paramore is out- and if the reviews are anything to go by, it's their best album to date.
Since the band's nasty split in 2010, critics have been asking if the band could bounce back - but they have, and then some. 17-track album Paramore isn't for everyone - but there's certainly something for everyone. The album jumps between pop hits, punk rock, ukulele interlude and country jams.
Producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen descibed the album as "very visceral and a little bit less locked down and computerized, more 1981 than 2012, with a nod to 2016."
Hayley Williams says that the album is re-inventing them as a band, and that was why the name of Paramore was so important for it. “I definitely think we’re reintroducing ourselves to the world and to our fans. At the same time, it’s so definitely us, you know? It’s so Paramore. I just don’t think there would’ve been any other title that would’ve worked. Anything else would’ve felt like we were trying too hard.”

Strahan Coleman's highly anticipated debut album, Posters, has dropped! Strahan is known as New Zealand's Folk-Psalmist. His songs are likened to moments where “poetry kisses reality”. His modern Psalms wrestle with that same world that David's did; the world that constantly tries to reconcile the face of heaven with its broken self. Simple, but never boring, Posters bears musical traces of Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver and Bob Dylan in its sound.
Quoting the artist himself, "We are all posters here. Makeshift images of perfection. Hope’s advertisements, worn with frayed edges and waning shades of red. It is the Psalmist who reminds us that we are still works of art."
