Things Will Go Well For You
'...so that things might go well for them...' Deuteronomy 5:29 NCV
Check this out: 'I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you' (John 15:15 NIV). David said, 'The secret of the Lord is with those who fear him...' (Psalm 25:14 NKJ). God will share things with those who are intimate with him that he won't share with others. When you see somebody who's focused in the confusion and cool when the heat is on, they might know a secret; shared with them by a Friend.
Realise that when God tells you to do certain things he's not trying to make your life hard. No, he's setting you up for a blessing. Listen: 'I wish their hearts would always respect me and that they would always obey my commands so that things would go well for them...' (Deuteronomy 5:29 NCV).
Don't be surprised if sometimes God expects things of you that: (a) he doesn't require of others; (b) he won't explain and you can't understand; (c) when you've obeyed, you won't immediately see the benefits. On the other end of anything God asks you to do is the promise 'so that things would go well for you' (Deuteronomy 5:29 NCV).
So what now? If you're convinced that God loves you unconditionally and has a unique plan for your life, you'll trust him completely, knowing that in the end it will 'go well' for you.
