Anberlin 'Lowborn' release date delayed

Anberlin have revealed that their upcoming album 'Lowborn' will no longer be available for purchase on June 23rd.

It has been pushed back to July 22nd due to what has been described as "some not so fun circumstances" in a band statement released today.

The announcement from the band said "Hey guys, as we're sure some of you have heard, due to some not so fun circumstances having to do with this industry, our final album Lowborn has been delayed until July 22nd. Completely out of our control, and we're really sorry that we can't get this album into your hands when we had planned."

We recommend pre-ordering the album on iTunes - all pre-orders will come with an instant download of a second track from the record called "Hearing Voices".

Bassist and founding member of Audio Adrenaline Will McGinniss says despite the split Max remains a "dear friend" who was "often misunderstood".

"The decision was very mutual and totally best for everyone," McGinniss said. "Transition is never fun but in faith both entities are going to walk in it."

The band have said they are "honoured" to have Josh Engler join the band for their next chapter.

Parachute announces new brand 'SMOKE'

Parachute has announced a new "mainstream-facing commercial entity" named SMOKE that will focus on artist management, creative & commercial services, and events.

It will also house Smoke Studios, a creative collective helping musicians make their art into a living by teaching them to develop commercial music and radio jingles.

In an email sent out to Parachute supporters, CEO Mark de Jong said "Smoke Studios is a great, practical way for us to help musicians make a living from their art".

The announcement of their latest endeavour comes two months after it was revealed that the annual Parachute Music Festival would be coming to an end.

De Jong also made it clear that Parachute Music will continue as a not-for-profit charity, with an emphasis on advocating for Christian musicians in the industry.

To top it all off, they've promised to keep us posted on the development of two concept tours planned for later this year, featuring a range of artists in their network.

Exciting times indeed for Parachute!
