Watch Chris Pratt Preach a Christmas Mini-Sermon at Disneyland

This year, Chris Pratt (you'll know him from things like Jurassic World, The Lego Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy and Parks and Recreation) was a guest at Disneyland's Christmas-themed Candlelight Ceremony.

Throughout the event, Pratt read the Christmas story from the book of Luke between songs. And, along with the Bible-reading, he opened up about what the New Testament's story of Christ's birth meant to him as a father himself. (The preaching and Bible reading was peppered throughout the event in the video.)

He explained,

Heavenly peace: This is a blessing for which we deeply yearn. It moves us to welcome this season with renewed sense of kindness and compassion to others. We gather at celebrations. We create memories with families and friends. We go home. The coming of the holidays brings the promise of faith, of hope and of love. And as the Bible says, "The greatest of these is love. Love bares all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends" ...

It's been a very special and inspiring night. For me, being a parent has really changed my life in so many ways. And one of those ways is to understand, truly, the love that a father could have for a child ...

The way we love our children, the more we love our children, the more we will understand the capacity for our Father in heaven to love us. Each and every one of us a precious creation, and He just marvels in the ways that we can try to please Him. That should give us a great deal of comfort. I know it does for me.
